The New Moon wait has finally come to an end! Last year, Twilight brought in 69.6 million the first weekend and it is said that New Moon’s opening is liking to reach 100 million.

Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin Will Host the Oscars
With last years host Hugh Jackman not returning, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will both host the 82nd Anual Oscars. This will be Baldwins first time hosting the Oscars, and Martins third.
The two will also be costaring together in the upcoming comedy It’s Complicated, along side Oscar winner Meryl Streep.
The ceremony will be held March 07, 2010
Couples Retreat
The Couples Retreat cast (many recognized comedians) includes Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau, Kristen Bell, Jason Bateman, Malin Akerman, Jon Favreua, and Kristin Davis. The movie is about eight friends, all coupled, finding themselves in a relationship that isn’t as lively as it used to be. What do they do to make their relationship better? They do what almost every troubled couple does… Go on a vacation. In particular, the vacation spot known as Eden, that is put together by Jason Bateman and Kristin Bell. ( the overly organized couple who is having trouble conceiving a child)
However, when the friends get to their vacation spot it wasnt at all what they expected. In fact,they are on Eden West which is an island for couples who are trying to improve their marriage instead of the island where you can do whatever you want, Eden East. Which brings to the table drama, arguments, bickering, blow ups, and most of all humor.
There were many funny scenes throughout the movie especially with the scenes between Vince and Jon. (Both helped write the movie. ) The storyline itself was pretty good, although some parts were short and had no meaning with the plot, especially with the kids acting. But besides that I thought the movie was pretty funny and even caught myself laughing out loud at a couple parts. The movie is a perfect date movie because both sex’s would defiantly enjoy this movie.

The Stepfather
Gossipgirls‘ Penn Badgley stars along with Niptucks‘ Dylan Walsh in the anticipated horror movie The Stephfather.
In a nutshell, the story is about a murderer who leaves one family to move on to a next one. Although the family seems to be getting along well in the beginning, when the oldest son Michael comes home from military school and starts to realize something odd about his “new” stepfather, things start to happen.
Although this movie didn’t get that well of reviews, in my opinion I thought that it was okay. The movie wasn’t one of those cheesy movies that has a sex scene every ten min or has gross torture throughout.

Paranormal Activity Goes Nationwide
Paranormal Activity took only 11, 000 dollars to make, seven days to film, and brought in 7.9 million for the weekend. This low budget horror film has no villains, big stars, or even a storyline. So whats the hype? A documentary type film that deals with a couple who is being haunted. Almost like The Blair Witch Project, the couple Katie and Micah, set up a camera in their bedroom to capture the events that take place. The activity that is portrayed in the film makes you believe that the film isn’t scripted and that the film is truly a documentary. Originally the film was played in selected theatres, but with demands of over a million Paramount decided to make the film nationwide.
I will be going to see the movie myself this weekend to see exactly why this low budget film has had a huge success.
Jamie Fox wants to play Tyson in New Biopic
Academy Award Winner, Jamie Foxx, in fact does want to play ex- world heavy weight champion Mike Tyson in a Biopic that would be directed by Taylor Hackford( Director of Ray). It was reported that Foxx recently told MTV that he was making plans to team with the filmmaker and play the role as the fighter. Foxx’s previous roles were the music promoter in Dreamgirls, the homeless musician in The Soloist, and Oscar winning role in Ray Charles.
Earlier this year the boxer himself said that if a feature was every made he would want Foxx to play his character.
